This blog will clarify whether these new rules apply to you and, if so, what it is you need to do.<\/blockquote>\n                    <div class=\"text--small text--weight-500\"><\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"text-block block columns-1\">\n    <div id=\"\" class=\"deeplink-anchor\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"container\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col-12 offset-lg-1 col-lg-10 offset-xl-2 col-xl-8\">\n                <div class=\"text-block__text-wrapper rich-text d-block\">\n                    <p><strong>Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Dutch Media Act is relevant for you when you meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have over 500.000 followers or subscribers on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram;<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re registered as an entrepreneur with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK);<\/li>\n<li>You regularly post videos (a minimum of 24 videos in 12 months);<\/li>\n<li>You earn money from creating content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you don\u2019t meet all the criteria mentioned above, you are not subject to the Dutch Media Act yet. However, the threshold will gradually be lowered, meaning more and more content creators will become subject to supervision.<\/p>\n<p>But even when you\u2019re not subject to the Dutch Media Act, there are certain rules you must adhere to. As soon as you publish content online that contains some form of advertising, you must be transparent about this. DDMA , the association for the advertising industry, has created <a href=\"https:\/\/influencerregels.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this website<\/a> where you can read all about it.<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"text-image-right-block block\">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n        <div class=\"row flex-column-reverse flex-md-row\">\n\n            <!-- Text -->\n            <div class=\"text-image-right-block__text-wrapper rich-text col-12 offset-lg-1 col-md-6 col-lg-4 offset-xl-2 col-xl-3\">\n\n                <p><strong>What is in the Dutch Media Act?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Dutch Media Act contains rules on being transparent about advertising, sponsorships and product placement. You must therefore make it clear in your videos that something is being advertised or contains sponsored content. Surreptitious advertising is prohibited and you\u2019re not allowed to encourage the purchase or rental of these services or products. You must also take minors that might view your content into regard and make it known who you are.
